Creative Director/Host
Brenda Holdsworth - Wedding Saviours Founder

Since the age of 18, Brenda Holdsworth has followed a creative and entrepreneurial career path which eventually led her to the wedding industry in 2001. Wedding Saviours draws from the many facets of her life experiences, business ventures, and sponsored charity events, all coming together. Formally recognized for her dramatic talents, Brenda has always remained connected to the theatre world and the unique community of artists it inspires. Whether on stage or part of a production team, Brenda’s creative talents have evolved over time in dozen’s of successful shows. More recently her focus has turned towards creating what we now proudly call Wedding Saviours. Her creative aspirations and production experience combined with her entrepreneurial skills, provide the perfect blend for creating and directing an innovative project which combines an interactive website, and a strong social media presence....and all for a purposeful cause; social responsibility.

Ted Ambrose - Wonder Lizard Productions

Ted graduated from Seneca College's Radio & Television Broadcasting program in 1987, and has been working as a Producer, Videographer, and Editor ever since. He has even gone “back to school” with a new role as Professor, teaching television production at his Alma Mata, Seneca College.

With over 20 years experience in pre-and post-production, Ted specializes in Theatrical Productions and Special Events. He has also worked for over 10 years on short and long form Documentaries, both for his own company, Wonder Lizard Productions, as well as TVOntario. Ted was nominated for a Gemini for Best Editing for his innovative work at TVOntario. Ted also has extensive on-stage performing credits as a singer, actor and dancer, giving him a keen insight as to what the performer wants in a theatrical video. He ensures that the wants for his clients are met, and more.

As a husband, and father of two, Ted can recall the finances involved when he married his wife Susan, and sympathizes for couples who are anxious to marry, but are financially unable to do so. When the opportunity arose to join the Wedding Saviours production team, Ted jumped at the chance to help a couple in need. “What a wonderful way to give back to the community. Wedding Saviours touches the hearts of many, and producing a visual reminder of the months leading up to, and the day itself, is something that I will be most proud of.”

Composer
Janal Bechthold - Marcando Music

Janal was 9 years old when she discovered her love of composition and by age 10 she had completed her first work for concert band. Janal has written music for film, television, concert band, chamber ensembles, vocal songs, and solo works. As a composer for film and television, her music has appeared at the Montreal Film Festival, the Yorkton International Short Film & Video Festival, and has been broadcast worldwide on network television, cable, and US radio.

A degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University is an asset to Janal's composition career as the two are closely related. “Music Therapy was a natural transition to scoring for film and other media. My training as a therapist enables me to recognize the emotional content of a scene and be able to create music which would support the emotions of the actors, the underlying themes, and guide the audience to a greater experience.” Music Therapy is also one of the reasons why Janal is participating in the Wedding Saviors project. "Through the practice of Music Therapy I discovered what contribution could mean to a community. There is nothing like working with people to enable them to take better care of each other, and I'm hoping that the involvement of the Wedding Saviors can help create more positive couples and stronger families."

Janal is also a professional organist having 30 years of experience playing everything from Bach to the bossa nova! She is currently the organist at St. Andrew's Japanese and St. David's Anglican Churches located at Donlands and Danforth Avenues in Toronto.
