Under the guidance of some of Canada’s finest chef instructors, Chef Berman was trained at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario where he graduated at the top of his graduating class. Upon completion, he wrote his Red Seal, and became Executive Chef at Viscount Hotel at 22 years of age. From there he was an integral part & success of the Filet of Sole & Whistling Oyster Restaurants.

After serving as Executive Chef of the Filet of Sole & Whistling Oyster, Chef Berman created Great Temptations Fine Food Catering, and became one of the premiere Caterer's in the City.

3 Commissary Kitchens & 12 years later Chef Berman He has participated in many culinary organizations such as the CN TOWER, Rainforest Cafe & the Superior Restaurant... In addition, Chef Berman has demonstrated his diverse talents through Catering to such prestigious events as the Grand Opening of Mel Lastman Square, the 1987 International Dressage, The Genie awards, the Dora awards, International Dragon Boat Festival & the Nike RUN TO event.

In 2002, Chef Berman became the Director of Catering & Executive Chef of Centre Island Fine Food Catering is a subsidiary of Beasley Amusements, who is responsible for the Children's Amusement Park on Centre Island. Chef Berman was responsible for all culinary production on the Island for the park, as well as guiding the 1500 seat Island Paradise Restaurant, the 300 seat Carousel Restaurant, the new Commissary, with over 35 Corporate Picnic sites. Centre island Fine Food Catering has developed its unique culinary interpretation on the beauty & peacefulness off the Islands, the ability to have a casual fine dining atmosphere surrounded by the serenity that the Islands bring.

In 2004 Chef Berman continued to do consulting and ventured into Foodservices in a Healthcare setting; bring his 25 years of experience to a multi-faceted facility looking to become #1 in Ontario for foodservices in the Healthcare field.

February 2007, Great Temptations breaks out on the scene in Durham, being named #1 Caterer in the region by Durham Business Trade & Commerce. Chef Berman is involved in many charity events around the community, and a very strong believer of giving back to the community that supports his business.
